Just took three pictures of each, tonight, with my webcam.  So, not the best quality… but I can’t get to my scanner at the moment, so it’s the best I can get.

Didn’t even get a chance to rest until after noon, then had to turn around and leave again about 3:30 to pick said cat up.  Thankfully he’s mellow and hasn’t taken his neutering as a personal affront.

Can’t even draw a straight line or keep concentration long enough to work on another chapter or on the wiki.  Hopefully I can get a nap and be able to get back to work on LotFT later tonight, though; even though I only have it scheduled for once a week and I’ve got this week’s up, I’d really like to build up both a buffer and an archive.

On another note, I just bought a couple of book thongs (#7 and #9)  from Tiffany Ross over at Shivae.net.  Really looking forward to getting them, they look absolutely gorgeous.  And while you’re there, why don’t you read some of her stories?

I ran across one of her stories, Alien Dice, not that long ago, and I fell in love with her work.  She is a very good artist and an amazing storyteller.  The wares she sells are also beautiful and vary pretty widely.  So if you’ve got some spare change, how about sending it a fellow independent artist’s way?

Anyone who reads this and has any experience on this kind of stuff, do you have any suggestions?  They’d be much appreciated!

For now, the story part will remain private, and once I’ve got a few chapters or so written out, I’m going to (hopefully) get some actual pages drawn and put up.  Unless I change my mind, the only part of it that’ll go public will be the comic itself, though maybe later on, if it does well, I’ll publish the chapters I’ve written out as a novel-version or some such.

Most likely I’ll be putting the comic up on two sites, since I know how one can go down and you can lose everything that way…so I’m planning for this to be a mirror-site for the comic (the other site probably going to be DrunkDuck).  Or at least, I hope so.  I’m not sure how I’ll do comments, though; whether to allow them on one site or the other, on both, on neither, maybe allow them on one site and try to copy them over so they don’t get lost if one of the sites crash…I don’t know.  I guess I’ll figure that out later, or maybe (if anyone even reads this…) I can get some feedback on it.

Got on this morning to check my RSS feeds, and there was one from Alexandra Erin’s Twitter page, mentioning site layouts. Also an update to her blog, Refresh Monkeys and Usual Nuts. By now I’ve read both in my RSS reader, and have yet to see the new site design.

It was a…VERY…drastic change from what I’m used to seeing. Not a bad change or idea, just…different from what I’m used to. And seeing as I have spent time being a web developer, and know the hassle of maintaining multiple sites, each with a very different design…I applaud her in doing this. Less time spent trying to maintain the sites, more time available to write her magnificent stories. Also, thankfully, the layout grew on me quickly.

Took this opportunity to finally check out the new forum–haven’t visited the new one, since the old one went down or some such. Must say…extremely slow. At least for me. And it’s way different…not sure I’m going to register for this one. I’d stopped visiting the old one, unless someone prodded me to come back, as it was, because I’d just ran out of valuable things to say, and when I came back I really only stayed long enough to raise my post count… So right now I don’t see a point in registering for the new one.
